Julia Schellekens graduated in 2016 at the Dutch Film Academy in Amsterdam as a Filmproducer.

During her studies she followed an internship at Een van de Jongens, a Dutch documentary production company, and followed a photography course at SKVR in Rotterdam.

 

After her graduation she founded her production company called Pristine Film and is currently working as a freelance Producer for various companies.

She recently finished the child series Zara and the magical football boots wich is filmed at 6 different refugee camps across The Netherlands. A project where these refugee kids got the chance to participate behind the scenes and as actors.

Earlier on Julia worked on projects such as the documentary ‘Microbe Fighters’ directed and written by Dutch filmmaker Heddy Honigmann;  commercials for VICE and the animated music video ‘Paper Plane Pilot’ for musician Sean Christopher.

Next to her production activities Julia works as a floor manager of education at Filmhuis in The Hague (Arthouse Cinema), and is also working as a teacher in
film at the International Film Festival of Rotterdam, 2017 and 2018.
